Scalp Appearance Support Using Consultation-Based Options
At Bella Complexion, we offer consultation-based services related to scalp and hair concerns. In some procedures, your own blood may be prepared and this is discussed during a consultation. Microneedling may be used to support skin appearance and product application. This combined method may be considered by individuals seeking a non-surgical option for hair and scalp care. Results vary from person to person and a consultation is essential to determine if this treatment is suitable for you.
Treatment Plan
Treatment frequency and options will be discussed during a personalised consultation, based on your individual goals and suitability. Many clients choose to undergo 3 initial treatments spaced 3–4 weeks apart, with an optional 4th session around 6 months later, depending on individual response and goals.
Some people may choose to return for further treatments based on personal goals and response. Periodic follow-up treatments every 6–12 months may be discussed during your consultation.
Prior to your appointment, it may be helpful to avoid alcohol and follow a balanced diet. At Bella Complexion, we will offer tailored advice based on your health history and individual needs.
Post-Treatment Care Guidelines
To support ongoing scalp care, where appropriate, your practitioner may recommend the following general care tips:
- Hair washing: Avoid washing your hair for 12–24 hours after the procedure to allow the treated areas to settle.
- Activities: Refrain from using saunas, steam rooms, or swimming pools for at least 48 hours, as these environments may affect the healing process.
- Lifestyle: It may be advisable to limit alcohol, caffeine, and smoking for 2–3 days, as these factors may influence circulation and the body’s natural healing response.
- Exercise & sun exposure: You may also be advised to avoid vigorous exercise, direct sunlight, and prolonged heat exposure for up to 48 hours after treatment.
Please follow the personalised advice provided during your consultation for the best results and safety.
Microneedling + PRP – Common Questions
What is PRP and how is it used in cosmetic scalp care?
PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma — a process that uses a concentration of your own platelets to support scalp health and cosmetic hair wellness.
It typically involves three steps:
- A small amount of blood is drawn from your arm.
- The blood is placed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma.
- The PRP is then applied to the scalp, often combined with microneedling to support absorption and stimulate the surface layers.
PRP contains naturally occurring growth factors that may support circulation and overall scalp condition, contributing to the appearance of fuller, healthier-looking hair in some individuals.
Individual results vary, and suitability is assessed during consultation
Who is a Suitable Candidate?
PRP is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that may be considered by individuals concerned about the appearance of thinning hair or overall scalp vitality.
Because PRP uses your own blood, the process is generally well tolerated and carries a low risk of allergic or immune reaction.
It may be explored by those looking to support:
– The appearance of fuller, healthier-looking hair
– Cosmetic scalp rejuvenation
– Non-surgical approaches to hair and scalp care
A consultation is required to determine if PRP is suitable for your individual hair goals and overall health profile.
